Just a few feet from the back door of the Lodge is a walkway down to the dock where you can spend your days fishing (catch & release only), swimming, boating or just enjoying the solitude. With all the amenities of the Lodge and surrounding area, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention all of the activities we offer!
FISHING:
The 12 acre lake is well stocked with bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. We are working with the local Kansas Fisheries Biologist and trying to manage our lake to grow trophy sized bass. That said we ask that you please carefully release any bass you catch in excess of 12 inches immediately. Any bass under 12 inches long as well as any crappie, bluegill and catfish that you catch may be kept for consumption. We are always trying to improve the quality of our fishery and the only way to do so is if we strictly adhere to the above rules. Additionally, there is a smaller pond within walking distance of the lodge stocked with bluegill for kids fishing.
BOATING:
We keep a 4 person paddle boat tied to the dock year around for our guests. We also have a 2 person bass buster boat with trolling motor. There is also a boat launch should you prefer to bring your own small boat.
SWIMMING:
The dock is a wonderful place to swim. We ask that you please do so safely and that all children please wear life vests and only enter the water in the presence of adults.
HIKING:
We have 278 acres of woods and pasture to hike on with a large population of deer, turkey, quail, raccoons, armadillos, possums, coyotes, bobcats and other critters and birds. Please feel free to observe but don’t disturb.
ARCHERY 3D TARGETS:
We have a number of 3D targets set up for archery at the campsite.
TELEVISION:
We do have one TV with satellite reception.
GAME TABLE:
We have one multigame table upstairs.
PHONES:
We have none!! However we do have a 4G signal booster in the lodge and good reception for cell phones there.
